Plowright Building: The Pirbright Institute

We supplied a number of commissioning managers to take control of the execution of the commissioning activities for this state of the art CL4 High Containment building for The Pirbright Institute. The project was completed on time and to budget with licensing achieved in under 12 months from completion. This building is recognised as a world leading facility for the detection and control of animal health and is at the fore front of the UK capability in animal welfare.

Steam System Management: the Pirbright Institute

CJB are retained to manage and maintain TPI critical steam utilities. With a team of BOAS qualified engineers, we maintain all facets of the site steam system including a number of shell and tube steam boilers. Our concentration on water quality and operational requirements means this valuable service keeps this critical utility operational with quality guaranteed.

 

Cadbury Schweppes Poland: New Manufacturing Facility

 

Three of our commissioning managers were employed at a new confectionary manufacturing facility for Cadbury’s in Poland. Our brief included the managing of the close out of the construction activities and all commissioning activities.

This included general site utilities and process / manufacturing equipment. A high degree of technical know how was required along with management of numerous multi national vendors. We were awarded this project on the back of the success of the previous project for the manufacture of chewing gum. The role was identical and the project successfully completed.

Our commissioning management procedures have now been adopted by Bovis Lend Lease as their Central European Corporate procedures.

 

Wyeth Medica Ireland: Jacobs Lend Lease Pharmaceutical

 

A number of our managers and engineers were employed as part of the site commissioning management team with specific responsibility for sitewide utilities and a global involvement with HVAC, BMS and QBMS. Early stage works included design reviews, producing commissioning plans, preparing the project commissioning schedule and commissioning test pack development. The role continued with recruitment and management of a team of commissioning engineers and the start up and execution of commissioning activities. A large amount of client interaction was necessary along with management of validation activities.

The infrastructure section of the project was successfully completed and qualified in good time to support the needs of the other areas
